1st Grade

What is solid, liquid, and gas? Investigating differences in materials. Nonfiction: Pancake time.

2nd Grade

What is the matter with the weather? exploring molecules through states of matter and the water cycle. Building a module of CloudSat NASA. Nonfiction: main idea and text features to support comprehension.

3rd Grade

SPace exploration: up close look at the Moon and our Solar system. Nonfiction: using details and text features to support our findings.

4th Grade

Investigating matter through space exploration: Mars rover challenge. Collecting samples to understand the terrain. Using geometric properties to design a helicopter. Nonfiction text: sequence of events using support form texts and inferences
